Day 5 21042015

Today is my second day in kl. Is great that I could have a quality sharing time with my bestie- Wei Ee last night.

Early morning, we have a date with my friend Lee Ching. I woke up, yet lazy to get up for my bath. I lying on the bed and start praying and devotion.

What Do We Do?

In the world we live in, we are going to have all kinds of problems, frustrations and difficulties. That's just life. So knowing this, what do we do?

We must remain steadfast and persevere. In other words, the answer is never give up! No matter what's going on in our lives, the victory is in refusing to quit.

Keep in mind that in the heat of our struggles, the Holy Spirit is probably doing His greatest work within us. He is not moved by the circumstances. If you and I really trust Him, we shouldn't be either! He's not in our lives for good times only, but for the difficult times as well.

He will lead us through anything if we'll just hang in there and follow Him. This means being diligent in prayer, relentless in our resolve, unwavering in faith, and determined to stand firmly on God's Word and His promises to us.

So many times we can be sidetracked by how slowly things seem to be going. In fact, the enemy loves to point that out! But remember, that's when God may be doing some of His greatest work. You see, it's not all about you and me. The Lord's work in us is preparation for the work He wants to do through us!

I know life can be hard sometimes. But I also know that God will help us if we remain steadfast. Let's stand on Galatians 6:9: "So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up" (NLT).

So let me ask that question again: What do we do? My answer is, never give up! What's your answer?

Prayer Starter: God, I believe that You are at work in my life, even during difficult times. I choose today to remain steadfast and to never give up in obedience to You.

My respond:
God I know when I move on everyday, you will make me to know about you more and more. Today is the 5th day. I enjoyed been full with your spirit, your love and your joy.

That's great we able to passby my friend's church at kl as she leading us. I saw a book store. Wondering I would able to look for a book that my friend Benny was planning to buy. When we get in the book store, we caught by the pastor. He start asking us a simple question as he know we are from different church....

After all he start introducing me some nice book which I plan to buy it. One of the book is The Jesus I Never Know. .

That's a good book and best seller according to him. I brought it and I hope that's could make a change in my life as well. Praise Lord!!!

Day 4 20042015

What's a blessed day Today!!!
I plan to fast my breakfast!!! My mom brought me a loaf a bread made by coffee. That's great!!! Intentionally I plan to bring along the bread which my mom has brought for me as that's the breakfast they prepared purposely for me. But that's made by coffee, I can't have it. I honestly tell my mom I should have fast for coffee for 40days. She quite happy for my action. Praise Lord. At least I got the support and encourage by my parents is highly appreciated. Thank God once again ;)

Hmm... Let's talk about today's devotion.
Before I start on my devotion plan today, i pray and keep the others in prayer as well. God's speak to be to put love into action... with the five love language that I had learned.

After all, I start reading on my devotion plan. Surprisingly it also mentioned about love.

Jesus Is Our Example

Love is something that can be seen. It is seen in the fruit of the Spirit working in our lives, in our behavior and how we treat people. Love has many facets, or different ways we can see it. For example, when a diamond ring is held up to the light, it can sparkle in various ways depending on which way it is turned in the light. I believe love also sparkles in different ways depending on how we look at it.

I Corinthians 13:4-7 gives us examples of the many facets of love:

Love endures long, it has the ability to put up with stuff for a long time.
Love is never envious, it doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love is not boastful or vainglorious, it doesn't call attention to itself.
Love is not conceited or rude.
Love doesn't insist on its own way.
Love pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
Love never gives up!

These are just a few ways we're supposed to love others...and it's also the way God loves us. First John 4:8 says that "God is love." He loves us and has saved us, so now we can share His love with others.

To imitate God, we have to look at Jesus, a perfect representation of God who lived out all of the descriptions of love in 1 Corinthians 13. He always acted in love in every situation, even when people came against Him.

Colossians 3:12-14 says to "clothe yourselves therefore, as God's own chosen ones.... And [put on] love".... Like Jesus, let's clothe ourselves in love and choose to follow His example, bringing honor and glory to God.

Prayer Starter: God, You have shown me what love is like by loving me first. Help me to follow the example of Jesus and live out all the facets of love in my day-to-day life.

My respond:
Thank God for loving me and show he love example to me to follow and live out all the facets of love in my day to day life. Lord, I thank you for your present and make me understand more about you and be with you always. Praise Lord!!!

Day 3 19042015

Today devotion
Relying on God

I believe every time we feel frustration, it means we've really stopped relying on God. That might sound like a bold statement to you, but think about it: God's given you and me His Holy Spirit and His grace to help us walk through anything that comes our way. Frustration hits when we stop depending on Him and try to make something happen our own way.

Understanding this really helped me. Every time I became frustrated, I reminded myself that what I was really doing was trying to take the place of the Holy Spirit. I was trying to be Holy Spirit Junior!

Do you struggle with an independent spirit? When you refuse to depend on God, in essence, you're saying, "Okay, God, I appreciate that You're around, but watch me do this." Depending on God for everything may be difficult, but it's the key to the victory we need every single day of our lives.

When God saved us, He didn't help us and then say, "Ok, that's it. You're on your own now!" He's eternally saved us, which means if we depend on Him, He will guide us and help us.

Galations 5:16 urges us to "walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit...then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh".... Notice that it doesn't say "conquer the flesh independently...then you will certainly not gratify the desires of the flesh." No, it says to live in the Holy Spirit.

Choose to stop living independently, and rely on the Holy Spirit. I promise you won't regret it!

Prayer Starter: God, You are all I need. Help me not to trust in myself, but to put my trust in You and to rely only on You.

My response:
Thanks God for his presence. Although today I was busy while working, but God grant me with all kind of wisdom and joy. Praise God. My friend who start the fasting with me also shared with me on what he has received from God. That's great.

Thanks God for arranging my friend off day and mine so that we could have another extra time spend in KL. That's great!!!

Day 2 18042015

Second day of my fasting. That's challenging as I'm working today.

Surprisingly again my dad make me a cup of milo. God, I know that's you. Praise Lord!!!

I will able to fast two meal as usual ;) hallelujah !!!

Today's devotion
Grace, God's Power Freely Given

If you've been in the world very long, you've learned that there are very few days that go exactly the way we'd like them to go. Thankfully, God is never going to put us in a situation without giving us the ability to be in it with joy.

I believe God gives us His special grace for every situation. Here's how I like to define grace: God's power to help us do whatever it is we need to do. You can have that power today, but you have to receive it, and the only way to receive it is by faith.
Romans 12:3 says that "God has allotted to each a measure of faith."

Ask yourself today, "What am I doing with my faith?" Are you putting your faith in yourself, or in others, or in your circumstances? That's not living in grace, that's just living by your own strength and works. And it won't get the job done!

But when you release your faith and trust God to do what you can't do, you're putting your faith in Him. Then grace, God's power, will come through the channel of faith and will enable you to do things that will amaze you and others.

Here's my longer definition of grace: It's God's power coming to us freely, meaning it doesn't cost us anything other than just putting our faith in God, enabling us to do with ease what we could never do on our own with any amount of struggle or effort.

Put your faith in God. He wants to give you His grace today.

Prayer Starter: God, I know that life won't always go the way I want it to, but I trust in You. By faith, I receive Your grace, the power You have freely given to help me walk through any situation I face today.

My response:
No matter what temptation or problem that I face today, I know you have given me the ability to be joyful as well. I hope that's no other thing could make me down and not to sing praise along the day. God, I need you, please be with me.

Early morning as usual, My dad make me a cup of drink before I went to work. Today that's make the day special was, he make a cup of milo for me! That's awesome! Unbelievable... How could he know I'm fasting from coffee.

Praise Lord that I can win those food temptation that been too close to me. I should be stand the food smell in a car as my cousin was having her MCD as dinner in the car. Praise God, I'm overcome it.

Once again, God I ask for the forgiveness that I make some mistake today. I know you have forgiven me and I should be set it free!!!  Yeah!!!

Day 1 17042015

Last night before I slept, I found two podcast that talk about fasting prayer. Although I'm damn sleepy, but thank God. I'm still able to listen to the sermon and decide to pray and know more about fasting.

I sleep late at the night and I don't think that I could able to wake up early to pray. But surprisingly when I know my parents was not around, I went down to the living where my piano placed and I start singing and playing.

Until my dad back from home and I was thinking to continue but I know that's hard for me to have a quite time when my dad is with me. I went back to my room and start praying.

Before I pray, I read on the devotion plan again.

Love in Action

As Christians, we are called to show others love. Jesus told His disciples, "By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]" (John 13:35).

So many people see love as 'just a feeling,' but it's so much more than that. True love shows itself through action.

And this action doesn't have to be impossible and overwhelming. One of the best ways to show the love of Jesus is through simple, everyday action,
- Like giving a small gift to someone or striking up a conversation with a downcast individual who needs a friend.
- Or giving a bag of groceries to the single mom who lives down the street and is struggling to put food on the table.
- Showing love can even be as simple as smiling and saying hello to a person you pass on the street, in the hall, or at the store.

There are many ways to demonstrate the love of Christ. When you show His love to someone else, it can soften that person's heart, and before you know it, they'll be finding ways to reach out and show love to others, and so on and so on. So celebrate God's love and let Him lead you. Is He putting someone on your heart right now?

I want my love for Jesus to be reflected in the way I show love for others, even those who may be difficult to love. If I can soften one hard heart with the love of God, maybe that person will soften another's heart with love, then that one will reach out to others, and so on and so on... And soon we'll have a love revolution!

Prayer Starter: God, I want my love for You to be reflected in the way I show love for others. Show me ways to demonstrate love to anyone and everyone that You bring across my path.

My response:
God, thanks for loving me more than I deserved and as a return I want to show love for the others. Show me and lead me the way to demonstrate love to the people around me. Let me carry your love and put it into the action everyday.

Besides, I also start reading the bible start on Psalm chapter 1.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalms 1:2-3 NKJV)
As we delight is in the law of the Lord, and meditate it day and night, whatever we do shall be prosper. Amen.
I believe in that!!!  Amen!
God thanks for the blessing and good start on my first day of fasting day. Bring me out of the temptation and give me s
Wisdom to overcome it. Praise you Lord, Jesus!

I saw miraclelly my parent allow me to be fast on my dinner. Wow... That's great!!!
Initially I could feel my gastric get a bit upset. I pray.... And keep drinking warm water, here.... I overcome the temptation.  Praise Lord.

Fasting life begin

Today is the first day of my 40days fasting period. Hmm... I should thank God that sending me a friend to PUSH me (encourage me) to start on my fasting prayer since I had told God I wish to start SOON.

With action and prayer, I know God will give me wisdom and strength to overcome all the temptation which I may face it soon. I know God is sending me a little message from the devotion plan I start on recently. First day is about the dream that God place in my heart, secondly is on how could I overcome the temptation. God, you know I'm starting the fasting prayer soon, you have prepared for me the message and people that I need to support and encourage me. That's so lovely. How could I stop praising you and know you more and more???

Hereby I will be writing the journal on my 40days fasting prayer. I might choose to fast a meal on each day replace with liquid drinks and without caffeine. I know that's really hard to believe that I'm not drinking coffee when I'm in a cafe or coffee shop. That's quite challenging as I have been labelled as "Coffee Queen" recently. That's would be a "shock" on those people around me. ;) Anyway, God will make a way for me and grant me wisdom and grace to overcome the temptation and live my life in victory! AMEN!

16042015

Today is the 3rd day of devotion plan  Joyce Meyer promises for your everyday life.

Oh Yes You Can!

We all face temptation, it's an unavoidable part of life. The question is not, "Will you be tempted?" The question is, "When you're tempted, will you be ready?"

I really want you to get this: You can beat temptation. Stop saying, 'Joyce, I just don't think I can.' Take 'I can't!' out of your vocabulary.

In your own strength and by your own ability, you're right. You can't. But when you put God's Word in your heart, when you lean on His strength and trust in His promises, there's no temptation you can't overcome.

Over the years, I've noticed five things that make all the difference in overcoming temptation. First, you've got to be wise. Think about the choices you're making and the consequences before you make them. Wisdom looks ahead.

Next, you have to believe that you can resist temptation. Condemnation, guilt and shame work off of momentum, if you stop them early, they lose their power, but once they get rolling, they're hard to stop. Third, think of facing temptation as normal life. If you're expecting a fight, you'll always be ready.

Fourth, avoid areas of weakness. Don't put yourself in situations where you can easily fall. If you struggle with managing your money, don't go to the mall when you can't afford to buy anything!

And finally, don't give yourself too much credit. We don't graduate from being tempted. It's so easy to think you've matured beyond stumbling, and once that happens, you make yourself an easy target.

God wants you to trust Him to bring victory in every area of your life. By His grace, you can!

Prayer Starter: God I realize temptation is a part of life. Help me not to be caught off guard or surprised when it comes. Thank You for the wisdom and grace to overcome any and all temptations and to live in Your victory.

My responses:
God, I know and realize the temptation is a part of my life that you have place in to let me rely on you and continue to live in your victory. God, I need your wisdom and guidance. Help me not to be caught and fall in the temptation that make my life miserable. Bring me to be more close to you each and everyday. Meditate on your word, sing praise and worship, be kind to the people around me and love them with the love from you Lord!

15042015 back to the life of sending the love letter to God

After I did my sharing in the Sunday service, I found I'm one step closer to God. During the preparation of the sermon, I'm reading the Christian spiritually book, devotion plan, listening to the sermon shared by Ps. Joseph Prince via podcast. My spiritually was filled with the words of God.

After all, one of my new friend shared to me on how he started to read the bible and write some "love letters" to God in his bible. I'm impressed and reflect back whats pastor preached before that we should make a note each time we read and devotion. Some pastor do encourage us to start writing a blog or journal along the way we read.

Well, I'm back in blogging again because of that. God, I'm back... I wish to talk and write to you more and more. Since when I have stopped to write the love letter? That's not the matter, the most important thing is I'm back!!! ;)

Today devotion plan will be the second day of Joyce Meyer - promises for your everyday life.

Jump-Start Your Dreams

What is the dream that God's placed in your heart?I'm not asking if you have one, I already know it's there because God gives all of us dreams.

I've seen people do all kinds of things to their dreams. Some people bury them so deep in their hearts in order to protect them from the criticism of others. Some people set them out of sight so they don't have to think about them anymore. And some people finally just give up on their dreams because it hurts too much to hold on.

If your dream needs a jump-start, there are two things I want you to remember. First, you need to get a vision that's clear. And second, you must keep your vision in front of you at all times.

But having a vision doesn't mean that it will instantly appear. God's as interested in the process of vision as He is in the end result.

The apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:11-13 that he had learned how to be content and satisfied to the point where he was not disturbed by whatever state he was in. In other words, he never allowed himself to get upset with where he was at the moment, he was always looking forward to where he could be.

That means you, like Paul, need to find a balance between contentment and ambition. Here's the key: Learn to enjoy where you are on the way to where you're going.

When you have a dream or a vision, you have to keep it in front of you. If it helps, write it down. And remember, God will help you live the dream He's given you, step-by-step, one day at a time.

Prayer Starter: Jesus, even though I don't always feel like it and life tries to get me to quit, I believe You have a great plan for my life. I choose to trust You to help me live the dream You've given me more than I trust my circumstances.

My Responses
God, I know you have talk to me when I'm reading this. I know I got a dream that you have place in my inner of my heart. Just like what's shared by Joyce Meyer, my dream could be criticise by the others or become a joke. Since that's the dream I dream it for God, why I couldn't keep it Infront of me? God, please help me to do so and tries not to quit it simply. Lord, I choose to trust You to help me live the dream You've given me more than I trust my circumstances. Amen!

02022015 precious moment with family with God's love.

Today early morning I have spending my time with my uncle, aunty from Australia with my family. Having a great breakfast "dim sum" with them and we get to talk with each other on something fun.

After that, me and my cousin -Jia wei was going to visit an Aunty from our church. She was having pain on her leg and get admitted in BM general hospital. Due to restricted visiting hours, I might need to walk in the ward alone and Jia Wei was stopped by the guard and waiting me out of the ward. I help the Aunty to stand up for sometimes, talk to her, share with her and try to know what's going on for her sickness. Before I left, I did make a prayer and leave my contact for her. I really wish she was healthy and God's healing hand on her.

After that we move on the next visiting, that's Rachel's father. We get pastor Jing Ming to come with us and we talk to him and spend some quality time with him while waiting for the doctor to come. The doctor was not able to give us a confirmation on the time of transferring her dad to Kl hospital as they were still waiting the feedback from Kl hospital as well. As the same, pastor Jing Ming do a prayer once again before we left.

Come to the lunch time, pastor Jing ming share with us on the things they had discuss on the past Angel meeting. That's a pretty good sharing time... Hmm.. But it's seem we are getting tired after that.

By the way, Jia wei and me were worried on bro Philip for sometimes as he seem avoiding us for some reason. Without further delays, we plan to date him out for "coffee". With the coffee time, I hope God can make this precious time meaningful and useful for his future and plans. In the meanwhile, I found something wrong on my cousin while heading to the next destination. I asked to stop by on aside and talk to her. Thank God for the spiritually sense from the Holy Spirit, I hope my prayer and God's word from the moment does help her. I know, God want to speak to her in that moment. She cry out loud... After that .... She was able to move on as well.

Another great thing was We have a good time spended with bro Philip in a cafe. No matter what's the outcome, I know what's the right thing to do. I should love him with the love from God. Just like what Jesus do to the Zacchaeus. Jesus love him so much, because of the love of Jesus, Zacchaeus changed. I do hope with the love of God, bro Philip will changed and transform become a better person. God really love him.

Wonderful night spends with my family once again after dinner. My uncle get Jia wei and me to listen on what's he has saw while praying for us. He told me that he saw I'm getting a ministry. Ministry on the ladies with abused. While he telling me about this, I'm shocked. I really didn't think about that before. After he had told me, he asked me about what I feel. Honestly, I have a strong feeling that I might involve in a ministry of counseling on marriage. It's unbelievable as I have no experience on single relationship with men and I'm single and available right now. I couldn't imagine that it may happened in my life as well. If I'm sharing this, people would have a good laugh on me as I also can't imagine from my condition right now, how could I counseling on the people would have problem in marriage if I would not have a good marriage indeed. After all, my Aunty and uncle shared on a first miracle done by Jesus which is change the water to the wine. He asked us that why Jesus do so... And so on.... Such a long preaching after that... But I love to listen and think about that. After the sharing it make me confidently know that I'm God's beloved child and I should deserve the best one -best man in my marriage. Honestly I do not have much confident before as I'm thinking that I might not as pretty as the other, not smart or gentle like the others...but God give me a dose of confident that I should look and wait for the best... As I'm God beloved and I have God's extreme blessing in me. Amen.... I'm looking forward to the blessing and serving in future... praise Lord.

God, I'm here.... Show me your way and put the desire in my heart so that I can follow you always. Amen.

12012015 keep pressing forward

Another day of reflection should do.

This was the second week of 2015, I’m wondering what I done so far.

Am I getting a good job? Am I glorified God in this two week???

What’s I’m doing??? I’m wondering.

Refresh back on a book written by Joel Osteen, “Become a better you” 7 keys to improve your life every day.

1.      Keep pressing forward

2.      Be positive towards yourself.

3.      Develop better relationship

4.      Form better habits

5.      Embrace the place where you are

6.      Develop your inner life

7.      Stay passionate about life.

Keep pressing forward

Stretching to the next level

·         God never performs his greatest feats in your yesterdays.

·         Who told you that something was wrong with you?

·         Other people do not determine your potential.

·         Don’t let rejection keep you down.

·         Out of our greater rejection comes our greatest direction.

·         The dream in your heart maybe bigger than the environment in which you find yourself. Sometimes you have to get out of that environment in order to see that dream fulfilled.

Give your dreams a new beginning

·         You will give birth to more in the future than you have lost in the past.

·         God want to do a new thing

·         Don’t let “good enough” to be good enough.

·         What happened in your past is not nearly as important as what is in your future.

·         Stay in healthy environment

·         You cannot hang out with negative people and expect to live a positive life.

·         Your destiny is not tied to the people who walk away from you.

·         Some people you have to love from a distance.

The power of your bloodline

·         You come from a bloodline of champions.

·         Your spiritual bloodline is more powerful than your natural bloodline.

·         God was thinking about you before you were ever even born.

·         Too many people learn to function in their dysfunction.

·         You can never change what you tolerate.

·         Don’t talk about the way you are, talk about the way you want to be.

·         Don’t settle for anything less than God’s best.

Breaking free from the strongholds of your past.

·         Overcoming negative history

·         This is the life God has given me, and I’m going to make the very most of it.

The generational blessing

·         Your children will do even more.

·         Do it so you can have an enduring house.

Discovering your destiny

·         We should love what we are doing

·         Your destiny will fit you

  •         I.            Today should I meditate on thoughts such as these:

“I have everything I need to fulfill my destiny.”

“God accepts me; he approves me; I know God has good things in store for me”

“I am valuable; I have royal blood in my bloodline; I have a bright future!”

“My best days are ahead of me.”

  •       II.            I will take time in this week to examine my life carefully, identifying any negative pattern that have been part of my family’s past. I have decided that I will be the one to set a new standard; I will shake off negative mind-sets and begin living under the blessings of God rather than under the curse.

  •    III.            With God’s help, I will overcome any challenges I face that might inhibit my growth as I stretch toward the next level in specific areas of my life.

  •    IV.            I will be more aware that the decisions I make today will affect future generations as well as my own life. I will be more careful and deliberate about making wise decisions. I will pray, search the Scripture for guidance, seek godly advice, and take time to think before making major decisions. I will make choices based on my desire to leave my family better off than they were previously.

Hope by these words from God through Joel may help me getting better in some day. No matter what is going the next, I will pray and let all lead by my beloved God.
