Hebrews 4

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

4 And we still have the promise that God gave those people. That promise is that we can enter his place of rest. So we should be very careful that none of you fails to get that promise. 2 Yes, the good news about it was told to us just as it was to them. But the message they heard did not help them. They heard it but did not accept it with faith.

If we depend our strength more that believe in God also have a risk to leave God. Our strength is not enough, only Christ can help us get through all the crisis.

3 Only we who believe it are able to enter God’s place of rest. As God said,

I was angry and made a promise:

‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”

Sometimes we have a problem that's we have knowledge about Christ but we not really know about Christ, and build relationship with him and not gather the knowledge and faith together. Let the good news of the Christ blessed your life and believe and respond his calling and depend on him.

But God’s work was finished from the time he made the world. 4 Yes, somewhere in the Scriptures he talked about the seventh day of the week. He said, “So on the seventh day God rested from all his work.” [a] 5 But in the Scripture above God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.”

6 So the opportunity is still there for some to enter and enjoy God’s rest. But those who first heard the good news about it did not enter, because they did not obey. 7 So God planned another special day. It is called “today.” He spoke about that day through David a long time later using the words we quoted before:

If you hear God’s voice today,

don’t be stubborn.”

8 We know that Joshua did not lead the people into the place of rest that God promised. We know this because God spoke later about another day for rest. 9 This shows that the seventh-day rest [b] for God’s people is still to come. 10 God rested after he finished his work. So everyone who enters God’s place of rest will also have rest from their own work just as God did. 11 So let us try as hard as we can to enter God’s place of rest. We must try hard so that none of us will be lost by following the example of those who refused to obey God.

12 God’s word [c] is alive and working. It is sharper than the sharpest sword and cuts all the way into us. It cuts deep to the place where the soul and the spirit are joined. God’s word cuts to the center of our joints and our bones. It judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts. 13 Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. He can clearly see all things. Everything is open before him. And to him we must explain the way we have lived.

God's word is alive and can change our life and full of strength. His word can open our heart and show the good and devil of our heart. God want us to choose to obey him and not just only listen to it and lead us in our life.

Jesus Christ Is Our High Priest

14 We have a great high priest who has gone to live with God in heaven. He is Jesus the Son of God. So let us continue to express our faith in him. 15 Jesus, our high priest, is able to understand our weaknesses. When Jesus lived on earth, he was tempted in every way. He was tempted in the same ways we are tempted, but he never sinned. 16 With Jesus as our high priest, we can feel free to come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we receive mercy and kindness to help us when we need it.

Pray is by faith we close to God's way. Some believer will bow his head and not dare to ask God to fulfill their needs, some just take it easy and casually ask for it. God is the king, we shall have the fear of God when come to him.He also our friend and adviser, we can also pray to him with confidence.

Hebrews 3

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Jesus Is Greater Than Moses

3 So, my brothers and sisters, those chosen by God to be his holy people, think about Jesus. He is the one we believe God sent to save us and to be our high priest. 2 God made him our high priest, and he was faithful to God just as Moses was. He did everything God wanted him to do in God’s house. 3 When someone builds a house, people will honor the builder more than the house. It is the same with Jesus. He should have more honor than Moses. 4 Every house is built by someone, but God built everything. 5 Moses was faithful as a servant in God’s whole house. He told people what God would say in the future. 6 But Christ is faithful in ruling God’s house as the Son. And we are God’s house, if we remain confident of the great hope we are glad to say we have.

Jesus is God's messenger and through him we can come to God and he is the master of God's kingdom and we need to obey him. Holy spirit fill with image of Jesus Christ and everything he reflect certain aspects of his properties and works. With the relationship with God, This image teach u about what?

We Must Continue to Follow God

7 So it is just as the Holy Spirit says:

If you hear God’s voice today,

8 don’t be stubborn as you were in the past,

when you turned against God.

That was the day you tested God in the desert.

9 For 40 years in the desert, your people saw what I did.

But they tested me and my patience.

10 So I was angry with them.

I said, ‘Their thoughts are always wrong.

They have never understood my ways.’

11 So I was angry and made a promise:

‘They will never enter my place of rest.’”

12 So, brothers and sisters, be careful that none of you has the evil thoughts that cause so much doubt that you stop following the living God. 13 But encourage each other every day, while you still have something called “today. [a]” Help each other so that none of you will be fooled by sin and become too hard to change. 14 We have the honor of sharing in all that Christ has if we continue until the end to have the sure faith we had in the beginning. 15 That’s why the Spirit said,

If you hear God’s voice today,

don’t be stubborn as in the past

when you turned against God.”

Christ live in us and we shall be encouraged and never give up. Got someone heard about God and got someone knew that God is waiting for him and they still not turn back and that stubborn have to pay. Our stubborn make us refuse to believe in him and our heart will bring us far from the living God and we still not willing to trust in him that finally he will leave us. But God can still give us a new heart, hopes and spirit. To avoid our heart become harden, so still close to the other believer. Share the faith and don't let the sin cheat on us and pay attention to the sin and shame, and use love to encourage each other.

16 Who were those who heard God’s voice and turned against him? It was all the people Moses led out of Egypt. 17 And who was God angry with for 40 years? He was angry with those who sinned. And their dead bodies were left in the desert. 18 And which people was God talking to when he promised that they would never enter his place of rest? He was talking to those who did not obey him. 19 So we see that they were not allowed to enter and have God’s rest, because they did not believe.

We know that lack of the faith in God will make us can't enjoy the blessing from him. We should trust him with all our heart and soul, trust he will be here with us, guide us and thankful with all he has blessed. Thanks God.

Thanks God I had a wonderful days spending with my colleague esp few of them. Yee sin family is the one I wish to thanks them and Hope God will bless them and have a wonderful time with them again. Thanks God. I learn something from them too. Love, care and share ^^

Philemon 1

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

1 Greetings from Paul, a prisoner for Jesus Christ, and from Timothy, our brother.

To Philemon, our dear friend and worker with us. 2 Also to our sister Apphia, to Archippus, who serves with us in the Lord’s army, and to the church that meets in your home.

3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Philemon’s Love and Faith

4 I remember you in my prayers. And I always thank my God for you. 5 I thank God because I hear about the love you have for all of God’s holy people and the faith you have in the Lord Jesus. 6 I pray that the faith you share will make you understand every blessing we have in Christ. 7 My brother, you have shown love to God’s people, and your help has greatly encouraged them. What a great joy and encouragement that has been to me.

Paul praising the Philemon of his faith and his love, he open his heart and also open this house for church. We can learn from him, open our heart and our house, touch peoples heart with God's love.

Accept Onesimus as a Brother

8 There is something that you should do. And because of the authority I have in Christ, I feel free to command you to do it. 9 But I am not commanding you; I am asking you to do it out of love. I, Paul, am an old man now, and I am a prisoner for Christ Jesus. 10 I am asking you for my son Onesimus. He became my son while I was in prison. 11 In the past he was useless to you. But now he has become useful [a] for both you and me.

Paul is a leader but he didn't commanding Philemon to accept that running slave, he want Philemon to do it out of love. We should learn form that. Paul is the modal we can learn from.

12 I am sending him back to you, but it’s as hard as losing part of myself. 13 I would like to keep him here to help me while I am still in prison for telling the Good News. By helping me here, he would be representing you. 14 But I did not want to do anything without asking you first. Then whatever you do for me will be what you want to do, not what I forced you to do.

What did Paul do? He bring that slave accept Jesus in prison and sent him back to the master and ask Philemon to forgive that slave had run away and now become Christ slave and accept him back as brother. We are Christian, we should forgive others as how God has forgiven us. Real forgiveness is that how we hope others to treat us ans we also need to forgive others as we hopes. Is that the person we forgive still not get your kindness treat?

15 Onesimus was separated from you for a short time. Maybe that happened so that you could have him back forever, 16 not to be just a slave, but better than a slave, to be a dear brother. That’s what he is to me. And I know he will mean even more to you, both as your slave and as one who shares your faith in the Lord.

we are the same in Christ. We are brother and sister no matter you are slave or master, any differ races, culture, position... There is no differences between that. How we treat our brother and sister that show how you treat our Christ.

17 If you accept me as your friend, then accept Onesimus back. Welcome him like you would welcome me. 18 If he has done any wrong to you or owes you anything, charge that to me. 19 I, Paul, am writing this in my own handwriting: I will pay back anything Onesimus owes. And I will say nothing about what you owe me for your own life. 20 So, my brother, as a follower of the Lord please do this favor [b] for me. It would be such a great encouragement to me as your brother in Christ. 21 I write this letter knowing that you will do what I ask, and even more than I ask.

Paul is great. He tell Philemon that to charge on him as what Onesimus owe him. Paul sacrifice all that because of love and it encourage Onesimus and build his faith. Is that any new believer that need your sacrifice to help them? We should be happy if we have the chance to learn to give out something fto help others. Let's us support them with bible study, pray and advice.

22 Also, please prepare a room for me. I hope that God will answer your prayers and that I will be able to come and see you.

Today I woke up on 12 something. After had my bible study, I start praying to God. I pray that God could use me and sent me wherever place other needs me. I want to know more about God, I want to share about God's love. God, I'm here, just sent me.

I pray for the Aunty that have a checking at hosp. Her CEA reading is 8 if not mistake. When her son tell me about that, I got a shock and I just comfort them as I also not sure about the seriousness of that case. When I check though net, I found that's the reading she probably have cancer cell in her body. I get shock and feel bad. Keep praying for her is the only way I can do for her. God please heal her, but dont do it with what I wish, Just carry on with your will and I shall trust you. I trust that in Romans 8:28 We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. These are the people God chose, because that was his plan.

Another hand I pray for my CG leader. She having a backache that after she fall from the chair. When I pray for her, I remember a song that I learn from a pastor in a special healing service held at PG church.

You are the God , that healeth me.

you are the God my healer

you sent your words and heal my disease

you are the God my healer.

I sms her can ask her to sing while she need that healing from God. thanks God that give me wonderful time spending with him. Thanks God.

Finally I also pray for my future partner in my life. I ask God to prepare one that could love my Lord and God with all his heart and love me with God's love. Beside I still wish I could help him in serving God and work together with him to serve God. That's my God was busying writing my love story for me.

Titus 3

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

The Right Way to Live

3 Remind your people that they should always be under the authority of rulers and government leaders. They should obey these leaders and be ready to do good. 2 Tell them not to speak evil of anyone but to live in peace with others. They should be gentle and polite to everyone.

When read that remind me to follow the rules and regulation while driving. Sorry God.

3 In the past we were foolish too. We did not obey, we were wrong, and we were slaves to the many things our bodies wanted and enjoyed. We lived doing evil and being jealous. People hated us and we hated each other. 4 But then the kindness and love of God our Savior was made known. 5 He saved us because of his mercy, not because of any good things we did. He saved us through the washing that made us new people. He saved us by making us new through the Holy Spirit. 6 God poured out to us that Holy Spirit fully through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7 We were made right with God by his grace. God saved us so that we could be his children and look forward to receiving life that never ends. 8 This is a true statement.

And I want you to be sure that the people understand these things. Then those who believe in God will be careful to use their lives for doing good. These things are good and will help everyone.

God want us to advise those who causes the break of the churches. Warning is needed as they could not listen to the advice. Warning must be use mild or soft method. If they can't accept it still we just have to ask them out of the church. Just like what Paul say they are violate knowingly.

9 Stay away from those who have foolish arguments, who talk about useless family histories, or who make trouble and fight about what the Law of Moses teaches. These things are useless and will not help anyone. 10 Give a warning to all those who cause arguments. If they continue to cause trouble after a second warning, then don’t associate with them. 11 You know that people like that are evil and sinful. Their sins prove they are wrong.

Final Instructions and Greetings

12 I will send Artemas and Tychicus to you. When I send them, try hard to come to me at Nicopolis. I have decided to stay there this winter. 13 Zenas the lawyer and Apollos will be traveling from there. Do all that you can to help them prepare for their trip. Be sure that they have everything they need. 14 Our people must learn to use their lives for doing good and helping anyone who has a need. Then they will not have empty lives.

15 All the people with me here send you their greetings. Give my greetings to those who love us in the faith.
