Philippians 1

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

1 Greetings from Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ.

To all of you in Philippi who are God’s holy people in Christ Jesus, including your elders [a] and special servants.

2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul’s Prayer

3 I thank God every time I remember you. 4 And I always pray for all of you with joy. 5 I thank God for the help you gave me while I told people the Good News. You helped from the first day you believed until now. 6 I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again.

If those remember you, what would they think of? they will be joy when they mention you? is that your action could bless the other?

7 I know I am right to think like this about all of you because you are so close to my heart. This is because you have all played such an important part in God’s grace to me—now, during this time that I am in prison, and whenever I am defending and proving the truth of the Good News. 8 God knows that I want very much to see you. I love all of you with the love of Christ Jesus.

That's what Paul said that "you are close to my heart". When he meet the Philippians Church he love them just like we wish to meet our close friends. What he do not just superficially, He love them and build his love in Christ and unite in Christ. How bout me? Let's the Love of Christ help us to love the other believer and use the action to proof that.

9 This is my prayer for you:

that your love will grow more and more; that you will have knowledge and understanding with your love; 10 that you will see the difference between what is important and what is not and choose what is important; that you will be pure and blameless for the coming of Christ; 11 that your life will be full of the many good works that are produced by Jesus Christ to bring glory and praise to God.

Paul teach us that if we wanna influence the other, the best way is to pray for them. Am I praying for the others? especially those who hated us most.

Paul’s Troubles Help the Lord’s Work

12 Brothers and sisters, I want you to know that all that has happened to me has helped to spread the Good News. 13 All the Roman guards and all the others here know that I am in prison for serving Christ. 14 My being in prison has caused most of the believers to put their trust in the Lord and to show more courage in telling people God’s message.

15 Some people are telling the message about Christ because they are jealous and bitter. Others do it because they want to help. 16 They are doing it out of love. They know that God gave me the work of defending the Good News. 17 But those others tell about Christ because of their selfish ambition. Their reason for doing it is wrong. They only do it because they think it will make trouble for me in prison. 18 But that doesn’t matter. What is important is that they are telling people about Christ, whether they are sincere or not. So I am glad they are doing it.

I will continue to be glad, 19 because I know that your prayers and the help the Spirit of Jesus Christ gives me will cause this trouble to result in my freedom. [b] 20 I am full of hope and feel sure I will not have any reason to be ashamed. I am certain I will continue to have the same boldness to speak freely that I always have. I will let God use my life to bring more honor to Christ. It doesn’t matter whether I live or die. 21 To me, the only important thing about living is Christ. And even death would be for my benefit. [c] 22 If I continue living here on earth, I will be able to work for the Lord. But what would I choose—to live or to die? I don’t know. 23 It would be a hard choice. Sometimes I want to leave this life and be with Christ. That would be much better for me; 24 however, you people need me here alive. 25 I am sure of this, so I know that I will stay here and be with you to help you grow and have joy in your faith. 26 When I am there with you again, you will be bursting with pride over what Christ Jesus did to help me.

27 Just be sure you live as God’s people in a way that honors the Good News of Christ. Then if I come and visit you or if I am away from you, I will hear good things about you. I will know that you stand together with the same purpose and that you work together like a team to help others believe the Good News. 28 And you will not be afraid of those who are against you. All of this is proof from God that you are being saved and that your enemies will be lost. 29 God has blessed you in ways that serve Christ. He allowed you to believe in Christ. But that is not all. He has also given you the honor of suffering for Christ. Both of these bring glory to Christ. 30 You saw the difficulties I had to face, and you hear that I am still having troubles. Now you must face them too.

Thanks God that today my fever is gone. My body is back to normal function.

Although yesterday I'm suffer in sickness, but thanks God my family is the one who take care of me though out the night. Family is so important to me. I'm so glad that God bless me with that. Today I gonna to Praise God with all I have and learn to love the other by the action and pray for those who I wanna influence them.

Ephesians 5

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

You are God’s dear children, so try to be like him. 2 Live a life of love. Love others just as Christ loved us. He gave himself for us—a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

Love God as he love us. Live a life of Love.

3 But there must be no sexual sin among you. There must not be any kind of evil or selfishly wanting more and more, because such things are not right for God’s holy people. 4 Also, there must be no evil talk among you. Don’t say things that are foolish or filthy. These are not for you. But you should be giving thanks to God. 5 You can be sure of this: No one will have a place in the kingdom of Christ and of God if that person commits sexual sins, or does evil things, or is a person who selfishly wants more and more. A greedy person like that is serving a false god.

There is so popular that obscene words and junior jokes that make us forget about the bad of the words. We can't verbal abuse yet sing praise to God and remind others the goodness of God.

6 Don’t let anyone fool you with words that are not true. God gets very angry when people who don’t obey him talk like that. 7 So don’t have anything to do with them. 8 In the past you were full of darkness, but now you are full of light in the Lord. So live like children who belong to the light. 9 This light produces every kind of goodness, right living, and truth. 10 Try to learn what pleases the Lord. 11 Have no part in the things that people in darkness do, which produce nothing good. Instead, tell everyone how wrong those things are. 12 Actually, it is shameful to even talk about the things those people do in secret. 13 But the light makes clear how wrong those things are. 14 Yes, everything is made clear by the light. This is why we say,

Wake up, you who are sleeping!

Rise from death,

and Christ will shine on you.”

Paul teach us that we must stand still in truth, cecause our silence might be considered consent to their thinking. God want us is to choose the right position and Christian should be true and honest by love words.

15 So be very careful how you live. Live wisely, not like fools. 16 I mean that you should use every opportunity you have for doing good, because these are evil times. 17 So don’t be foolish with your lives, but learn what the Lord wants you to do. 18 Don’t be drunk with wine, which will ruin your life, but be filled with the Spirit. 19 Encourage each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord. 20 Always give thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Wives and Husbands

21 Be willing to serve each other out of respect for Christ.

22 Wives, be willing to serve your husbands the same as the Lord. 23 A husband is the head of his wife, just as Christ is the head of the church. Christ is the Savior of the church, which is his body. 24 The church serves under Christ, so it is the same with you wives. You should be willing to serve your husbands in everything.

25 Husbands, love your wives the same as Christ loved the church and gave his life for it. 26 He died to make the church holy. He used the telling of the Good News to make the church clean by washing it with water. 27 Christ died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride in all her beauty. He died so that the church could be holy and without fault, with no evil or sin or any other thing wrong in it.

28 And husbands should love their wives like that. They should love their wives as they love their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself, 29 because no one ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church 30 because we are parts of his body. 31 The Scriptures say, “That is why a man will leave his father and mother and join his wife, and the two people will become one.” [a] 32 That secret truth is very important—I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 But each one of you must love his wife as he loves himself. And a wife must respect her husband.

Today thanks God that saved me from an accident again. Thanks God for everything. Although I'm tired, but I know that what I do is please God, that's great enough. Thanks God.

Ephesians 4

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

The Unity of the Body

So, as a prisoner for the Lord, I beg you to live the way God’s people should live, because he chose you to be his. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient and accept each other with love. 3 You are joined together with peace through the Spirit. Do all you can to continue as you are, letting peace hold you together. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, and God chose you to have one hope. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. 6 There is one God and Father of us all, who rules over everyone. He works through all of us and in all of us.

God choose us to be the Christ representative in the world and begin from the truth in Christ, Paul challenge us that we have received this calling and we must work out the same as we get the calling. It included the be humble and gentle, be patient and accept each other with love. If someone observe your life and are they been saw the Christ in us? We are the representative of the Christ how we need to act as?

Paul said that "Body is just have one ". We must not focus on the part we are different, and must unite it as on the basic : one body, one spirit, one hope, one God, same faith, same baptist and same God. Are we know to appreciate the different of the other? Are we look forward to the different spiritual gift in Christ so that we could serve God with all the different spiritual gift that we have? Are we going to learn and share and work together with the other?

No one is perfect and we must accept each other with LOVE. When we found the mistake of the a bro or sister, we must be patient and accept them with love. Is there are someone that the action or character that trouble you? Is better not to count on the others fault or weaknesses, just pray for them. Step forward and spend time with them and see whether we can love them and accept them. Amen.

Holy spirit is the act as a main character that he "establish one". although spirit lead us, yet we must follow and obey his leading and do whatever naturally does. We must look onto God not ourselves.

7 Christ gave each one of us a special gift. Everyone received what he wanted to give them. 8 That is why the Scriptures say,

He went up high into the sky;

he took prisoners with him,

and he gave gifts to people.”

All Christian is under a body and unite under a leader that's Christ alone. All believer have the power of God who give us and build the Body. Maybe my spiritual gift is powerful or weak, yet there is good enough to serve our God. God please give em the special spiritual gift that I can use that to serve the Churches.

9 When it says, “He went up,” what does it mean? It means that he first came down low to earth. 10 So Christ came down, and he is the same one who went up. He went up above the highest heaven in order to fill everything with himself. 11 And that same Christ gave these gifts to people: He made some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to go and tell the Good News, and some to care for and teach God’s people. [a] 12 Christ gave these gifts to prepare God’s holy people for the work of serving, to make the body of Christ stronger. 13 This work must continue until we are all joined together in what we believe and in what we know about the Son of God. Our goal is to become like a full-grown man—to look just like Christ and have all his perfection.

What is the thing God gave you? United in Christ will not stop us from specifically. Holy spirit give all the believer to use whatever gift to build the church. That not important to know what's gift we get from God, is matter that how we use the gift from God. If we know what we got, and get the chance to serve it; if not ask God to show you and teach you or the pastor and spiritual partner. If you clear that what the best you get in, you must use whatever your best to serve the church. Amen.

14 Then we will no longer be like babies. We will not be people who are always changing like a ship that the waves carry one way and then another. We will not be influenced by every new teaching we hear from people who are trying to deceive us—those who make clever plans and use every kind of trick to fool others into following the wrong way. 15 No, we will speak the truth with love. We will grow to be like Christ in every way. He is the head, 16 and the whole body depends on him. All the parts of the body are joined and held together, with each part doing its own work. This causes the whole body to grow and to be stronger in love.

Christ is the truth and the spirit who lead us also spirit of truth. Satan is king of the lier and as a Christ believer we must commit in truth and we must speak honestly and our action must reflect the Christ completely."Speaking the truth in Love" that's not easy, there will bring trouble and sadness sometimes, but we must continue to work on it as it's please God.

The Way You Should Live

17 I have something from the Lord to tell you. I warn you: Don’t continue living like those who don’t believe. Their thoughts are worth nothing. 18 They have no understanding, and they know nothing because they refuse to listen. So they cannot have the life that God gives. 19 They have lost their feeling of shame and use their lives to do what is morally wrong. More and more they want to do all kinds of evil. 20 But that way of life is nothing like what you learned when you came to know Christ. 21 I know that you heard about him, and in him you were taught the truth. Yes, the truth is in Jesus. 22 You were taught to leave your old self. This means that you must stop living the evil way you lived before. That old self gets worse and worse, because people are fooled by the evil they want to do. 23 You must be made new in your hearts and in your thinking. 24 Be that new person who was made to be like God, truly good and pleasing to him.

25 So you must stop telling lies. “You must always speak the truth to each other,” [b] because we all belong to each other in the same body. 26 “When you are angry, don’t let that anger make you sin,” [c] and don’t stay angry all day. 27 Don’t give the devil a way to defeat you. 28 Whoever has been stealing must stop it and start working. They must use their hands for doing something good. Then they will have something to share with those who are poor.

Bible do not tell us not the be angry but we must handle the anger properly. Paul said must immediately deal with the anger so that it build the relationship. Don't let the anger make you sin... and don't stay angry all day. Yes, Lord.

29 When you talk, don’t say anything bad. But say the good things that people need—whatever will help them grow stronger. Then what you say will be a blessing to those who hear you. 30 And don’t make the Holy Spirit sad. God gave you his Spirit as proof that you belong to him and that he will keep you safe until the day he makes you free. 31 Never be bitter, angry, or mad. Never shout angrily or say things to hurt others. Never do anything evil. 32 Be kind and loving to each other. Forgive each other the same as God forgave you through Christ.

our way of life or that the holy spirit will be worried. Don't ise angry disputes railing to evil to others and be willing to forgive others, Like how God forgives us. Your attitude and behaviour is to please him or to make him worries? Love your bro and sis as like God loves you and sent his beloved son die for your sin. Forgive each other and love them as Christ loved us.
