Remembering Past Successes (Joyce Meyer devotion's plan: Promises for your everyday life)

To be honest, a lot of us are negative thinkers when we find ourselves in challenging situations. But to move past trying times, you have to take your negative thoughts and turn them into positive thoughts. 

God wants to take you on a "truth journey" through studying His Word that produces amazing results. It will help you purge your negative thoughts and give you the ability to see the positive in your situation. 

Being positive is powerful. And a big part of being positive is simply reminding yourself of your past successes. 

When David faced the giant Goliath, he remembered the lion and the bear he'd already defeated, and it gave him courage in his current situation. 

If you're going through a difficult time right now, let me remind you that this probably isn't the first challenge you've faced. You survived the last one (and probably learned some valuable lessons through it) and you will survive this one too. 

Like David, remember your past successes. Then go to the Word and see what God says. Better days are on their way. God promises it! 

Prayer Starter: God, sometimes the situation in front of me seems impossible, but You have brought me through difficult times in the past, and I know You can do it again. Help me to remember past successes and to think positively about my present situation.

My response:
God, I pray to have a dream for you alone. Sometimes the situation in front of me seems impossible, but you carry me through those problem and difficulties in the past, I trust you can make it again and again. Help me to believe in you and your spirit is with me no matter what. 

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Today early morning my sis fetch me from serdang station. 

We had our breakfast here. Tapper!

Here come our next station!

Beard papa's durian puff. Just like I'm eating durian. Wow!!!

Next we visit the play station just like escape in Penang. 

Looks fun. Hope can try on next time! 

There's been a long time I didn't hang out with sis alone. Miss this moment so much. 

Our lunch! Here come whole morning and afternoon we has been eating non stop. FATsss....

Thank God for letting me to have a chance to enjoy the fellowship and quality time with my sister. Praise you Lord!

Tonight am I able to attend cell group? I hope so!

Thank God. I know you wish me to attend it. I'm here God! Although sadly I couldn't share out my testi loud, but I know... The blessing will be pouring upon me non stop. I will keep sharing until I meet your face Lord!

Double triple blessing in the morning. Initially plan just to drop out Luggagge to the hotel, but we met a good staff which able to consider to upgrade our room without any extra chargers and let us check in. 

Just a second I think of to take a good bath before going to uni., but God really bless me with those minor request! 

Besides, I'm free from coffee, God bless me have a good start with a cup of my favorite cappuccino in the morning. Blessed day. Thank God!

When we reach the university is really on time. Praise Lord was the JC committee did not ask much. Just simply ask two question that's it. Praise Lord!!! 

Another one thing I should thank God was he sent a bro to fetch me to it for good food in kl! 

He bring me to a cafe near kuchai lama. The coffee really so so... But I just simply enjoy the coffee time with bro and besties. 

After that we had our dinner at kuchai lama. 

 

Today really a blessed day!

Today is my "raya" as I'm free from fasting. Praise Lord, I'm awake miraclelly quite early in the morning. I thought I can't wake up on time as I'm physically burn out. Suddenly I feel my abdo is cramping in pain. After clear my intestine,  that's better and I'm totally awake. 

I start on reading the book- good morning Holy Spirit. Thank God, I able to finished it. Holy Spirit, thank you! Thanks for your presence for such a long time. I thought I know you, but I didn't. 

I told myself that I wish to know him more and more... I will make it as you are with my all the time. I love you Holy Spirit. You are great!!! 

After reading it, I get my breakfast with my parents. Surprisingly, I didn't have the urge to order "kopi Peng" as what's I'm usually did. I'm totally free from the addiction. Praise Lord, thank Holy Spirit. I know is you. You put self control in me. 

Everytime, I'm reading the word of God, I know you are guiding, Holy Spirit. I will be more like Jesus. Hurray!!! 

The best gift for today was -orang kaya coffee. 

Another blessing will be my buddies. I'm thankful for getting few buddies in my life. 

The belated gift! But I know they love me so well. Thank God for that!

Day 40 26052015

Today is the last day of my 40days fasting prayer. That's not the end which I'm walking with you, Lord. Today is the starting that I would like to have a intimacy relationship with you Lord father, son and Holy Spirit. 

As I know total surrender brings total infilling, and total submission brings total fellowship. But just as in marriage, I got to work at it every day: "Jesus, I love you";"Father God, I adore you"; "precious Holy Spirit, I long for your fellowship."

God Approves of You 

We need to speak affirming words over people. We need to resurrect this benediction in Numbers 6:24-26: "The Lord bless you and watch, guard, and keep you; the Lord make His face to shine upon and enlighten you and be gracious (kind, merciful, and giving favor) to you; the Lord lift up His [approving] countenance upon you and give you peace" (AMP). 

In other words, God's smiling at you. Think about it. Every time you smile at someone, you're saying to them, "I approve of you. I accept you. You're cool." 

God not only approves of you, He's smiling over you. He loves you! You need to get that so deeply rooted within your heart that nothing can ever take it from you. 

When you're rooted in God's love, He's going to help you stand up in faith and start walking in obedience to Him. But you can't go ahead of Him trying to do good works on your own. You have to know the Word so that you can know who you are in Christ. 

In Psalm 18:19, David said, "God is pleased with me." David wasn't perfect, but he knew God delighted in him. God is pleased with you too. Get that truth down inside you. He is smiling over you and He loves you very much. God approves of you! 

Prayer Starter: God, thank You so much for loving me and for approving of me. Thank You for smiling over me. Your love has changed my life and I know that it will only continue to do so as I grow in You.

My response:

Thank God for loving me and smile at me. Thank for your approval as well. With your love, it has changed my life. I wish I could be continue to love you, soaking in your presence Holy Spirit. Let me know your more and more. I surrender!!! ;)

I know your spirit is with me always. Although things may happened beyond expectation, but I know God you are righteous. I'm waiting for your miracle!!! 

Day 39 25052015

This is the first time I speak to Holy Spirit. Good night Holy Spirit. 

After few hours, I'm awake. I'm fully charged after awake. It just few minutes before 11pm. I started to open my e book that I have downloaded before I slept. Book written by Benny Hinny.- good morning Holy Spirit. 

I'm shocked as I can read till chapter 5 which beyond my expectation. Praise Lord. Thanks Holy Spirit for his guidance. Thank Lord! 

Being an Imitator of God 

Being a Christian isn't about making a weekly trip to church. We need to develop the character of God so others can actually see Jesus working in a practical way. 

Ephesians 5:1 says that we are to be imitators of God. Unfortunately, saying it is a lot easier than actually doing it. 
So many times we do things that don't reflect God at all. It's easy to get discouraged, give up on and condemn ourselves when we fall short. 

Thankfully, God isn't bothered that we haven't arrived yet. He knows we're only human. He knows that we're not going to instantly, perfectly mirror Him overnight, but He does want us to continue growing. 

We're not meant to live stagnant lives, never moving forward in our faith. Where's the adventure in that? We need to be able to look back on our life and see some changes taking place. 

I used to be a Pharisee. I think I could have been the chief of Pharisees. I had a real religious act going on, but I wasn't really doing anything to truly "imitate" God. At some point, God led me to ask myself: "What am I doing to be more like God? Am I actually helping anybody? Am I just in this thing so God will make my life better?"

When we're in a place of questioning, that's the best place to be. It's a place of constantly striving toward being more like Christ. 

As you're striving, don't fall into the trap of perfectionism and self-condemnation. We all make mistakes but the important thing is to be willing to take steps every day toward being more like God. 

Prayer Starter: God, I thank You that even though You see my mistakes, You still love me and help me live a godly life. While I refuse to be discouraged by my failures, I also refuse to stay the same. I choose to follow You and imitate You more and more each day.

My response:

Actually I quite worry that I could be mistreat the Holy Spirit. But I know, the Holy Spirit is with me to guide be, be my best friend. I wish to have intimate relationship with him just like husband and wife. It should be like this. I wanna speak to you Holy Spirit. I know when I start to speak with you, you would talk to me like you did talk to pastor Benny Hinn and pastor Zhi ming. Thank Holy Spirit.

Day 38 24052015

God's Agape Love 

The Bible talks about various kinds of love. There's the Greek word "phileo," which means friendship or tender affection. Then there's "eros," which is the passionate love we feel for a lover. But there's a third kind, a higher kind of love. 

"Agape" is the kind of love God has toward His Son and the human race. It's a love that sacrifices, the love that we see in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son..."(NIV). 

There are so many scriptures on this topic. It's really something you should sit down and study personally. Another scripture that teaches the concept of agape love is Matthew 5:44. It tells us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. 

It's not difficult to pray for people who are good to you. But it does stretch you to pray for people who have wounded you. It's easy to hang out with your friends at church. But it's harder to seek out that person who looks like they're miserable and alone and just listen to them for awhile. That's agape love. It's sacrificing your comfort to do what's righteous. 

You can "agape love' people by being patient with them, by being understanding with them, by saying something encouraging or by not saying anything when you could. As humans, we are inherently selfish, constantly asking, "What about me?' It's time to declare war on selfishness with the power of agape love. 

It's time to be good and loving to people on purpose as we study and understand what scripture says about love. And let the agape love of God in you overflow to others. 

Prayer Starter: Lord, Your powerful agape love is amazing. Empower me as I declare war on selfishness and make a decision to, on purpose, live a life of agape love.

My response:

Lord you are powerful God. Thank God for giving me Holy Spirit to guide me through. Be with me, be my teacher, be my great companion in my life. Holy Spirit, I welcome you. I love you! 

Once again, I get to know more about you, God. I taught I know you, but I'm not. Please be with me.
