Day 2 18042015

Second day of my fasting. That's challenging as I'm working today.

Surprisingly again my dad make me a cup of milo. God, I know that's you. Praise Lord!!!

I will able to fast two meal as usual ;) hallelujah !!!

Today's devotion
Grace, God's Power Freely Given

If you've been in the world very long, you've learned that there are very few days that go exactly the way we'd like them to go. Thankfully, God is never going to put us in a situation without giving us the ability to be in it with joy.

I believe God gives us His special grace for every situation. Here's how I like to define grace: God's power to help us do whatever it is we need to do. You can have that power today, but you have to receive it, and the only way to receive it is by faith.
Romans 12:3 says that "God has allotted to each a measure of faith."

Ask yourself today, "What am I doing with my faith?" Are you putting your faith in yourself, or in others, or in your circumstances? That's not living in grace, that's just living by your own strength and works. And it won't get the job done!

But when you release your faith and trust God to do what you can't do, you're putting your faith in Him. Then grace, God's power, will come through the channel of faith and will enable you to do things that will amaze you and others.

Here's my longer definition of grace: It's God's power coming to us freely, meaning it doesn't cost us anything other than just putting our faith in God, enabling us to do with ease what we could never do on our own with any amount of struggle or effort.

Put your faith in God. He wants to give you His grace today.

Prayer Starter: God, I know that life won't always go the way I want it to, but I trust in You. By faith, I receive Your grace, the power You have freely given to help me walk through any situation I face today.

My response:
No matter what temptation or problem that I face today, I know you have given me the ability to be joyful as well. I hope that's no other thing could make me down and not to sing praise along the day. God, I need you, please be with me.

Early morning as usual, My dad make me a cup of drink before I went to work. Today that's make the day special was, he make a cup of milo for me! That's awesome! Unbelievable... How could he know I'm fasting from coffee.

Praise Lord that I can win those food temptation that been too close to me. I should be stand the food smell in a car as my cousin was having her MCD as dinner in the car. Praise God, I'm overcome it.

Once again, God I ask for the forgiveness that I make some mistake today. I know you have forgiven me and I should be set it free!!!  Yeah!!!

Day 1 17042015

Last night before I slept, I found two podcast that talk about fasting prayer. Although I'm damn sleepy, but thank God. I'm still able to listen to the sermon and decide to pray and know more about fasting.

I sleep late at the night and I don't think that I could able to wake up early to pray. But surprisingly when I know my parents was not around, I went down to the living where my piano placed and I start singing and playing.

Until my dad back from home and I was thinking to continue but I know that's hard for me to have a quite time when my dad is with me. I went back to my room and start praying.

Before I pray, I read on the devotion plan again.

Love in Action

As Christians, we are called to show others love. Jesus told His disciples, "By this shall all [men] know that you are My disciples, if you love one another [if you keep on showing love among yourselves]" (John 13:35).

So many people see love as 'just a feeling,' but it's so much more than that. True love shows itself through action.

And this action doesn't have to be impossible and overwhelming. One of the best ways to show the love of Jesus is through simple, everyday action,
- Like giving a small gift to someone or striking up a conversation with a downcast individual who needs a friend.
- Or giving a bag of groceries to the single mom who lives down the street and is struggling to put food on the table.
- Showing love can even be as simple as smiling and saying hello to a person you pass on the street, in the hall, or at the store.

There are many ways to demonstrate the love of Christ. When you show His love to someone else, it can soften that person's heart, and before you know it, they'll be finding ways to reach out and show love to others, and so on and so on. So celebrate God's love and let Him lead you. Is He putting someone on your heart right now?

I want my love for Jesus to be reflected in the way I show love for others, even those who may be difficult to love. If I can soften one hard heart with the love of God, maybe that person will soften another's heart with love, then that one will reach out to others, and so on and so on... And soon we'll have a love revolution!

Prayer Starter: God, I want my love for You to be reflected in the way I show love for others. Show me ways to demonstrate love to anyone and everyone that You bring across my path.

My response:
God, thanks for loving me more than I deserved and as a return I want to show love for the others. Show me and lead me the way to demonstrate love to the people around me. Let me carry your love and put it into the action everyday.

Besides, I also start reading the bible start on Psalm chapter 1.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. (Psalms 1:2-3 NKJV)
As we delight is in the law of the Lord, and meditate it day and night, whatever we do shall be prosper. Amen.
I believe in that!!!  Amen!
God thanks for the blessing and good start on my first day of fasting day. Bring me out of the temptation and give me s
Wisdom to overcome it. Praise you Lord, Jesus!

I saw miraclelly my parent allow me to be fast on my dinner. Wow... That's great!!!
Initially I could feel my gastric get a bit upset. I pray.... And keep drinking warm water, here.... I overcome the temptation.  Praise Lord.

Fasting life begin

Today is the first day of my 40days fasting period. Hmm... I should thank God that sending me a friend to PUSH me (encourage me) to start on my fasting prayer since I had told God I wish to start SOON.

With action and prayer, I know God will give me wisdom and strength to overcome all the temptation which I may face it soon. I know God is sending me a little message from the devotion plan I start on recently. First day is about the dream that God place in my heart, secondly is on how could I overcome the temptation. God, you know I'm starting the fasting prayer soon, you have prepared for me the message and people that I need to support and encourage me. That's so lovely. How could I stop praising you and know you more and more???

Hereby I will be writing the journal on my 40days fasting prayer. I might choose to fast a meal on each day replace with liquid drinks and without caffeine. I know that's really hard to believe that I'm not drinking coffee when I'm in a cafe or coffee shop. That's quite challenging as I have been labelled as "Coffee Queen" recently. That's would be a "shock" on those people around me. ;) Anyway, God will make a way for me and grant me wisdom and grace to overcome the temptation and live my life in victory! AMEN!

16042015

Today is the 3rd day of devotion plan  Joyce Meyer promises for your everyday life.

Oh Yes You Can!

We all face temptation, it's an unavoidable part of life. The question is not, "Will you be tempted?" The question is, "When you're tempted, will you be ready?"

I really want you to get this: You can beat temptation. Stop saying, 'Joyce, I just don't think I can.' Take 'I can't!' out of your vocabulary.

In your own strength and by your own ability, you're right. You can't. But when you put God's Word in your heart, when you lean on His strength and trust in His promises, there's no temptation you can't overcome.

Over the years, I've noticed five things that make all the difference in overcoming temptation. First, you've got to be wise. Think about the choices you're making and the consequences before you make them. Wisdom looks ahead.

Next, you have to believe that you can resist temptation. Condemnation, guilt and shame work off of momentum, if you stop them early, they lose their power, but once they get rolling, they're hard to stop. Third, think of facing temptation as normal life. If you're expecting a fight, you'll always be ready.

Fourth, avoid areas of weakness. Don't put yourself in situations where you can easily fall. If you struggle with managing your money, don't go to the mall when you can't afford to buy anything!

And finally, don't give yourself too much credit. We don't graduate from being tempted. It's so easy to think you've matured beyond stumbling, and once that happens, you make yourself an easy target.

God wants you to trust Him to bring victory in every area of your life. By His grace, you can!

Prayer Starter: God I realize temptation is a part of life. Help me not to be caught off guard or surprised when it comes. Thank You for the wisdom and grace to overcome any and all temptations and to live in Your victory.

My responses:
God, I know and realize the temptation is a part of my life that you have place in to let me rely on you and continue to live in your victory. God, I need your wisdom and guidance. Help me not to be caught and fall in the temptation that make my life miserable. Bring me to be more close to you each and everyday. Meditate on your word, sing praise and worship, be kind to the people around me and love them with the love from you Lord!

15042015 back to the life of sending the love letter to God

After I did my sharing in the Sunday service, I found I'm one step closer to God. During the preparation of the sermon, I'm reading the Christian spiritually book, devotion plan, listening to the sermon shared by Ps. Joseph Prince via podcast. My spiritually was filled with the words of God.

After all, one of my new friend shared to me on how he started to read the bible and write some "love letters" to God in his bible. I'm impressed and reflect back whats pastor preached before that we should make a note each time we read and devotion. Some pastor do encourage us to start writing a blog or journal along the way we read.

Well, I'm back in blogging again because of that. God, I'm back... I wish to talk and write to you more and more. Since when I have stopped to write the love letter? That's not the matter, the most important thing is I'm back!!! ;)

Today devotion plan will be the second day of Joyce Meyer - promises for your everyday life.

Jump-Start Your Dreams

What is the dream that God's placed in your heart?I'm not asking if you have one, I already know it's there because God gives all of us dreams.

I've seen people do all kinds of things to their dreams. Some people bury them so deep in their hearts in order to protect them from the criticism of others. Some people set them out of sight so they don't have to think about them anymore. And some people finally just give up on their dreams because it hurts too much to hold on.

If your dream needs a jump-start, there are two things I want you to remember. First, you need to get a vision that's clear. And second, you must keep your vision in front of you at all times.

But having a vision doesn't mean that it will instantly appear. God's as interested in the process of vision as He is in the end result.

The apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:11-13 that he had learned how to be content and satisfied to the point where he was not disturbed by whatever state he was in. In other words, he never allowed himself to get upset with where he was at the moment, he was always looking forward to where he could be.

That means you, like Paul, need to find a balance between contentment and ambition. Here's the key: Learn to enjoy where you are on the way to where you're going.

When you have a dream or a vision, you have to keep it in front of you. If it helps, write it down. And remember, God will help you live the dream He's given you, step-by-step, one day at a time.

Prayer Starter: Jesus, even though I don't always feel like it and life tries to get me to quit, I believe You have a great plan for my life. I choose to trust You to help me live the dream You've given me more than I trust my circumstances.

My Responses
God, I know you have talk to me when I'm reading this. I know I got a dream that you have place in my inner of my heart. Just like what's shared by Joyce Meyer, my dream could be criticise by the others or become a joke. Since that's the dream I dream it for God, why I couldn't keep it Infront of me? God, please help me to do so and tries not to quit it simply. Lord, I choose to trust You to help me live the dream You've given me more than I trust my circumstances. Amen!
