Today is the
first day of our Annual Youth camp.
This year
would be the 8th Youth Camp from FGA PRAI, also the 8th
year I’m joining as a committee.
Quite
special for this year as we were doing it in our Church (FGA PRAI) and I’m not
only as a first aider, I was assigned as a teacher in a group as well as dorm
head.
That’s really a challenging years as I’m taking charge of so
many things in a time and I don’t even know my group’s member beside one of
them is a camper last year which we accidentally lost her pants.
Thank God for his grace that I started to know some of my
group youth during briefing section one week ago. 4 of them were from BBs (Boys
Brigades), mostly from Chung Ling Butterworth…
From the starts, I’m helping in selling camp tee. I have
limited time to expose myself to my group yet. The time which I have more time
for them is during the section they need to create their own flag. Some of them
still very shy and mostly they are so teachable and discipline. Thank God. I’m
really trying hard to memorize their name and recognize them correctly,
especially girls.
Most Challenging and Tiring section for me would be “Grooming
time” for 140+ participants. I arranged 4 groups to take their shower first,
the rest of the groups will be having their dinner.
Me and Bro Jia Qing were assigned to arrange them one by
one. For ladies, I given them the privileged to use up 7 bathroom with 10 mins
per person. For guys, they could just rotate to use the male toilet (2
bathrooms) in 5 mins time. That’s really cruel for the guys, but I have no
choice. I’m really freak out as I’m the one who need to rush them from
preparing their cloths, to limit their time of taking bath till arrangement of
next person to get in the toilet for both boy and girl… Exhausted, I really
helpless that moment. Most of them (committee and helpers) back home as well to
take bath and dinner. I nearly cry for help. Some of the camper also feel bad
which they need to wait for so long only can get to take bath. I’m really SORRY
for that.
After settling everything… is time for them to have night
service and praise and worship. That’s my time to rest and take my dinner.
Next would be sharing from Pastor Andrew and I need to sit
in as I’m one of the group teacher which need to guide them on discussion. I’m
rushing to finish my dinner and take my shower in a short while. During the
time I take my dinner, I start tell Christine what I faced today, at the same time,
I nearly wanna cry out. At the same time, a camper starts tearing outside of
the church with another camper. After some conversation with him only know that
his father was falling sick in the hospital at KL and his mom was on the way to
fetch him to KL soon. He needs to leave the church in a short while. Jia Qing,
Christine and I try to comfort him and waiting his mom to take him back. We prayed for him and ask him to update his dad's condition for us as we prayed for him.
Thank God for the gracious day. During the time of rest at night, I prayed to God and my tears keep dropping. I know this is the time I recharged and renew my strength with His.
Next day, that's the most "nervous" time which our team have put a lot of effort to make this games works well.
Two of our cars went to Sunway while Wendy was briefing at the church. The Sunway security does not open the VIP parking place for us and both of us (Ivan and Me) not able to find the security. I called John for help. At last, the security able to open the door for us and we faster arrange and set up those thing we should do before the camper and helper came.

Today would be the same, busy arranging them to take bath but many of them were helping me as yesterday I really voice out at the meeting which I really need help.
Busy but was still good... I doesn't realize where's my phone until Yu Jue told me that they took my phone when saw me placing it on the table.

The third day... AUTOCITY day.
Early morning only received new task which I need to follow Yu Jue to go Autocity early. I exchange transport with Mae and I follow Ah Jet to go autocity during the time Christine and Leong Heng briefing at autocity.
After settling everything we needed and we were waiting for the camper to be here at the starting point. I standby at the Registration area which was just right in front of Starbuck. Angeline was the first one pass by with a cup of Hot Americano. She purposely go get an empty cup for me and pour some for me. Really Blessed!!! Clive passby with an Green Tea Frappucino. I asked him to give me "taxs" for some as I'm crying in thirst under a hot weather!
Well blessed came after that, my Bro Desmond called me and come to find me with a cup of Ice Latte. wow... That's warm to me.

His coffee really I need in time. I'm really melt under the hot sunny day.

1. They asked me to dance with Teh Leng. haha...
End up Teh Leng more shy than me. OMG... haha
2. They asked me to sing for Shin Lun. Initially they asked to sing 月亮代表我的心。 OMG... but I tell them I dunno how to sing. So changed to sing Happy Birthday.
Lastly he was the one who more shy than me. OMG... haha...
They were not satisfied as they can't see I'm shy in doing this...so asked me to sing Happy Birthday randomly for a group -Zi Yue group who was doing the video. When I sing, the group shocked and stare at me... Really looks funny. haha....
Finally was the turn to my brother.
He scared that I will suggest something make him embarrass. He pinch me, OMG... damn painful man... I know he really scared I might do this to him. haha....
At last I choose Jih Shing for him as I feel she more outgoing like me should be ok in playing around. He use a rubber band as ring and act like proposing to her.
My group youths... Really miss them...
The youngest among was named Yun Ru. Most why girl in the group. She doesn't want to selfie with me even though I beg her and after take with all of the others members. OMG.. but on the last day, she keep looking for me to have a photo taking with me. OMG... so CUTE.
Raymond was the quiet boy compare to Chun Wei. Just two of them were boys, the rest were girls... my sisters...
Chun Wei was very funny boy which I started to know him before the camp - during camp briefing one week before. I still remember he have a lots of expression on his face and the most funniest thing I found in him was He like to "bully" our group girl -Yun Ru. Both of them from the same school. The rest of them was from Chung Ling Butterworth. He was cousin with Cindy Beh and Raymond Beh. Chun Wei and Yun Ru knowing each other too through BBs. They interaction were really funny and sweet for what I feel. XD
Yee Sean, I have some impression with her as she was the one who really active in the group chat before I able to meet them. The only one came from far - Kepala Batas.
Zhi Hui is the one I always headache with her when sharing in the group as she was the one who always wish to SKIP the sharing. She can text and reply you promptly but... she just can't understand and share publicly. When playing the 大冒险 with her, Desmond ask her to slap Chester. I purposely called Chester to make sure he was around and finally I allow her just to hit Chester from the back. haha... If was slapped, that abit no manners for me la.
Jing Wen and Qian Yin were the two I not really can recognize them well. Their hairstyle and quietness was just about the same. I hardly differentiate them. After 4 days mix around with them, only I can differentiate them.
Jing Wen was not feeling well on the second day while playing the Sunway games.
Qian Yin's leg was feel pain, I prayed for her and next day she doesn't complain of pain anymore. Praise Lord.
Jia Yi (Angel Yi) was the sweetest and prettiest among la honestly. Desmond also like to kacau her more I can see. haha... That's normal. She was the main actor of their group advertisement project. Chester also mentioned that, they are smart in choosing her to act the main one as she really have a sweet voice and pretty.
Cindy Beh was the group leader in this group. Before the camp, through FB messenger, I have roughly know some of her as we meet on the briefing day. She wearing the maze runner t-shirt with Zhi Hui and that's give me a great impression on them. Heard that she was the Chairman of a society in school.
Last was the girl , Hui Jie -Yi Jing's GF. She was the one I knew from our youth camp last year as her pant was been splash on the pelaka on the first day, but after we washed, we hang at the pantai merdeka and lost it there. OMG...
Her impression for me was not really good at the first place as I feel she abit arrogant. But during this camp, Thank God I able to know more about her.
After camp, I still texting her and wishing that I can help her back to Jesus.
She told me that she stop believing in Jesus that moment I really throw a shocked. She asking me that what's different about the believer thing... I prayed that God grant me with His wisdom to talk to her and guide her spiritually. That's great challenges as I know, but I know God is with me.
This Boy below was the one I know him while he waiting at the toilet. I keep asking him to break the record who was able to shower less than 3 mins. haha...
James, at last I know his name when he added me at FB. Nice to know him. haha...
From this camp, I feel God grace was sufficient for us from the start to the end. No matter was the participant, fees, program... arrangement... there was Fresh Grace coming in... I truly thank God for his Grace and provision.
Not by nature, but by GRACE. :)
