Romans 10

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Romans 10

[1 Brothers and sisters, what I want most is for all the people of Israel to be saved. That is my prayer to God. 2 I can say this about them: They really try hard to follow God, but they don’t know the right way. 3 They did not know the way that God makes people right with him. And they tried to make themselves right in their own way. So they did not accept God’s way of making people right. 4 Christ ended the law so that everyone who believes in him is made right with God.

5 Moses writes about being made right by following the law. He says, “The person who obeys these laws is the one who will have life through them.” [a] 6 But this is what the Scriptures say about being made right through faith: “Don’t say to yourself, ‘Who will go up into heaven?’” (This means “Who will go up to heaven to get Christ and bring him down to earth?”) 7 “And don’t say, ‘Who will go down into the world below?’” (This means “Who will go down to get Christ and bring him up from death?”)

8 This is what the Scripture says: “God’s teaching is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart.” [b] It is the teaching of faith that we tell people. 9 If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved. 10 Yes, we believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we openly say that we believe in him, and so we are saved .]

Sometimes we keep asking God that is it we surely to be save by Jesus Christ? what Paul said is that "9 If you openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised him from death, you will be saved." So when we openly say, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in our heart that God raised him from death, we will be saved. That's simple, that's grace from God and we no need to go through the long complicated process to know God, we just need to believe that's it.

[11 Yes, the Scriptures say, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disappointed.” [c] 12 It says this because there is no difference between those who are Jews and those who are not. The same Lord is the Lord of all people. And he richly blesses everyone who looks to him for help. 13 Yes, “everyone who trusts in the Lord [d] will be saved.” [e]

14 But before people can pray to the Lord for help, they must believe in him. And before they can believe in the Lord, they must hear about him. And for anyone to hear about the Lord, someone must tell them. 15 And before anyone can go and tell them, they must be sent. As the Scriptures say, “How wonderful it is to see someone coming to tell good news!” [f]]

We must remember that before we can believing in him we must hear about him. For anyone to hear about him, we need someone to tell right? And before someone can go and tell them, they must be sent. Are we ready to be sent by God?

Yup,here I am ready God. please sent me to the one you choose and share to them how great you are and believe in you and serve you. I want to be an army of God. Please SENT ME ^^

[16 But not all the people accepted that good news. Isaiah said, “Lord, who believed what we told them?” [g] 17 So faith comes from hearing the Good News. And people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.

18 But I ask, “Did those people not hear the Good News?” Yes, they heard—as the Scriptures say,

“Their voices went out all around the world.

Their words went everywhere in the world.”

19 Again I ask, “Did the people of Israel not understand?” Yes, they did understand. First, Moses says this for God:

“I will use those who are not really a nation to make you jealous.

I will use a nation that does not understand to make you angry.”

20 Then Isaiah is bold enough to say this for God:

“The people who were not looking for me—

they are the ones who found me.

I made myself known to those who did not ask for me.”

21 But about the people of Israel God says,

“All day long I stood ready to accept those people,

but they are stubborn and refuse to obey me.”]

For us we don't know who been chosen to follow God,so we must share to all of them. God not choose people from the appearance, but with their heart. We maybe think that person will not believe in Jesus, but yet God choose him, who knows??? God please help and strengthen me to live for you and share your good grace to the others those believe in You.

Romans 11

Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)

Romans 11

God Has Not Forgotten His People

1 So I ask, “Did God force his people to leave him?” Of course not. I myself am an Israelite. I am from the family of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God chose the Israelites to be his people before they were born. And he did not force them to leave. Surely you know what the Scriptures say about Elijah. The Scriptures tell about Elijah praying to God against the people of Israel. He said, 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and destroyed your altars. I am the only prophet still living, and they are trying to kill me now.” [a] 4 But what answer did God give to Elijah? God said, “I have kept for myself seven thousand men who have never given worship to Baal.” [b]

5 It is the same now. God has chosen a few people by his grace. 6 And if he chose them by grace, then it is not what they have done that made them his people. If they could be made his people by what they did, his gift of grace would not really be a gift.

7 So this is what has happened: The people of Israel wanted God’s blessing, but they did not all get it. The people he chose did get his blessing, but the others became hard and refused to listen to him. 8 As the Scriptures say,

“God caused the people to fall asleep.”

“God closed their eyes so that they could not see,

and he closed their ears so that they could not hear.

This continues until now.”

9 And David says,

“Let those people be caught and trapped at their own feasts.

Let them fall and be punished.

10 Let their eyes be closed so that they cannot see.

And let them be troubled forever.”

11 So I ask: When the Jews fell, did that fall destroy them? No! But their mistake brought salvation to those who are not Jews. The purpose of this was to make the Jews jealous. 12 Their mistake brought rich blessings to the world. And what they lost brought rich blessings to the non-Jewish people. So surely the world will get much richer blessings when enough Jews become the kind of people God wants.

13 Now I am speaking to you people who are not Jews. I am an apostle to the non-Jewish people. So while I have that work, I will do the best I can. 14 I hope I can make my own people jealous. That way, maybe I can help some of them to be saved. 15 God turned away from the Jews. When that happened, he became friends with the other people in the world. So when he accepts the Jews, it will be like bringing people to life after death. 16 If the first piece of bread is offered to God, then the whole loaf is made holy. If the roots of a tree are holy, the tree’s branches are holy too.

17 It is as if some of the branches from an olive tree have been broken off, and the branch of a wild olive tree has been joined to that first tree. If you are not a Jew, you are the same as that wild branch, and you now share the strength and life of the first tree. 18 But don’t act as if you are better than those branches that were broken off. You have no reason to be proud of yourself, because you don’t give life to the root. The root gives life to you. 19 You might say, “Branches were broken off so that I could be joined to their tree.” 20 That is true. But those branches were broken off because they did not believe. And you continue to be part of the tree only because you believe. Don’t be proud, but be afraid. 21 If God did not let the natural branches of that tree stay, he will not let you stay if you stop believing.

God is the root, when we keep believing in him, he will as our provider, provide us the nutrient and we keep living. When we stop believing in him, we are like the branches that broke off, and we will be death. Don't be proud, as we no reason to be proud because we don't give life to the root as a return, root gave us life. We need to believe in him and rely on him to give us eternity life and our life will be shine in him.

22 So you see that God is kind, but he can also be very strict. He punishes those who stop following him. But he is kind to you, if you continue trusting in his kindness. If you don’t continue depending on him, you will be cut off from the tree. 23 And if the Jews will believe in God again, he will accept them back. He is able to put them back where they were. 24 It is not natural for a wild branch to become part of a good tree. But you non-Jewish people are like a branch cut from a wild olive tree. And you were joined to a good olive tree. But those Jews are like a branch that grew from the good tree. So surely they can be joined to their own tree again.

When we see God is kind but he also can be so strict. He will punish those who stop following him,but as he is kind, you will be save if you continue trusting his kindness.

25 I want you to understand this secret truth, brothers and sisters. This truth will help you understand that you don’t know everything. The truth is this: Part of Israel has been made stubborn, but that will change when enough non-Jewish people have come to God. 26 And that is how all Israel will be saved. The Scriptures say,

“The Savior will come from Zion;

he will take away all evil from the family of Jacob.

27 And I will make this agreement with those people

when I take away their sins.”

28 The Jews refuse to accept the Good News, so they are God’s enemies. This has happened to help you who are not Jews. But they are still God’s chosen people, and he loves them because of the promises he made to their ancestors. 29God never changes his mind about the people he calls. He never decides to take back the blessings he has given them.30 At one time you refused to obey God. But now you have received mercy, because the Jews refused to obey. 31 And now they are the ones who refuse to obey, because God showed mercy to you. But this happened so that they can also receive mercy from him. 32 All people have refused to obey God. And he has put them all together as people who don’t obey him so that he can show mercy to everyone.

Praise to God

God still show mercy to us, when we refuse to obey, because God still love us. But don't wait God punishment pour on us. We must stop disobeying. Obey God and trust him with all our heart and following him. I know I'm weak in that Lord, please lead me with your holy spirit. Thanks Lord

33 Yes, God’s riches are very great! His wisdom and knowledge have no end! No one can explain what God decides. No one can understand his ways. 34 As the Scriptures say,

“Who can know what is on the Lord’s mind?

Who is able to give him advice?”

35 “Who has ever given God anything?

God owes nothing to anyone.”

36 Yes, God made all things. And everything continues through him and for him. To God be the glory forever! Amen.

All glory to God forever. I must worship him and give all glory to him everyday in my living. Praise Lord.

Romans 9

Paul’s Anguish Over Israel

[ 1 I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— 2 I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race,4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised![a] Amen.]

Paul can sacrifice his life to another and it show the love of Christ. For the unbeliever how I sacrifice for them??? Is it I’m willing to sacrifice my time, money and my life to love them? God… please help me… I DO. ^^

God’s Sovereign Choice

[6 It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[b] 8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”[c] ]

God promised to Abraham that his generation not just for his blood relationship but for all those who believe in Christ too. We are also son of God and we have the promised that God given to bless us and our families. We are chosen by God as his followers and his son.

For who we are be can been chosen as his son and he willing to sacrifice his son to save us from sin and shame. His love covered us, yet we are just one of the creations for this world. I’m not the best creation of God but he still loves me. Thanks God. I’m proud to be your creation.

Sometimes we just like a Jew, obey the law, attend all the services at church, serving at church, offering and have a good personality that’s all right. But Paul said no one can be saving through all this. God saving plan is not for those who think they are good, but is for those who know that they are sinful and can’t be save, with following of Christ they can be save.

God please lead me as I need you to guide me and make my life more close to you and fulfill what God has plan for me. I need your holy spirit to guide me, remind me to do what has please you. Thanks God.

Romans 8

Sorry God I’m tired, I just get to sleep for 3hours +. Please strengthen me.

[ 5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.]

When I read this, I know that from now onwards, I can’t live in according to the flesh. I need holy spirit to guide me, and get me to close to God more and more and do what is God’s preference. When I in doubt, I always remind myself to ask this question “ what would Jesus do?” when he had same situation as what I’m facing right now.

[ 12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.]

We are not a slave to the flesh and live according to it, but we were paid and be a slave in Christ and Christ set us free from sin and we get eternity.

[17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.]

Paul mentions that Christian need to face all the trouble too. Why we need to??? Some people realize that this “religion” will get them in trouble and even death. But as what Jesus does, he sacrifice his power as a son of God, far from the temptation in the world and serve the others. That’s what we can learn from him. That’s great LOVE.

[24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.]

Trust between father and son is supernatural. But somehow got many parent they had lost their promise in the relationship with their son. Our heavenly father won’t break any promises he had made. Just sometimes he has his own planning and we need to be patient and trust he will bless and give us the best as he plans.

[26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.]

God never forsake who believed in him. Even when we don’t know how to pray and ask for it, but yet holy spirit had pray for us and be with us and for sure God had answer it.

[ 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i]have been called according to his purpose.]

God do everything is to give us the BEST as he can. But not everything that happens on us is good to us for now; because sin had entered in this world on the beginning. God just change the situation that brings the best for our future. For those who love him and obey him, he will bless them not just because of the happiness in this world but to let his will done. Who obey in holy spirit and accepted Christ they have a new mindset that they won’t ask for the wealth from the earth and they willing to sacrifice without blaming because they know that God is with them.

[35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?]

What can separate me from God?? Trouble? Relationship? Death? God please help me to get in your mighty love and what Paul said we are not been separate with LOVE. Jesus sacrifices show his love and nothing can make us far from God anymore in Jesus. Thanks God for his love and I LOVE YOU, JESUS.
