Day 7 23/8/2015: What's on earth am I here for?

EMBRACING THE VISION: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE
Rick Warren

“It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for… part of theoverall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone.”  Eph.  1:11 (Mes)

“Everything, absolutely everything...  got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him.”
       Col. 1:16 (Mes)

1.  GOD PLANNED ME FOR HIS PLEASURE.

“The Lord takes pleasure in His people.”  Psalm 149:4 (GN)

“God has given us the privilege of being born again so that we are now members of God's own family.”   1 Pet.  1:3 (LB)

“That family is the church of the living God, the support and foundation of the truth.”
      1 Tim.  3:15 (NCV)

“Love your spiritual family.”  1 Peter 2:17 (Mes)

THE 2nd PURPOSE OF LIFE IS: LEARN TO LOVE OTHERS.

“We belong to each other and each of us needs all the others.”  Rom.  12:5 (NLT)

We learn to love people, not only love the ideal people.

3.  GOD CREATED ME TO BECOME LIKE CHRIST.
“From the very beginning God decided that those who came to Him--and all along He knew who would--should become like His Son.” Rom.  8:29 (LB)

“As the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him.”
      2 Cor.  3:18b (NLT)

THE 3rd PURPOSE OF LIFE IS: TO GROW UP SPIRITUALLY.

“Some people have such shallow soil of character that when their emotions wear off and difficulty arrives, there’s nothing to show for it.”  Mark 4:17 (Mes)

4.  GOD “SHAPED” ME TO SERVE HIM.

You shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb.”

      Ps.  139:13 (Mes)

                      Spiritual Gifts
                      Heart
                      Abilities
                      Personality
                      Experiences

“God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each
other, passing on to others God's many kinds of blessings.”  1 Peter 4:10 (LB)

THE 4th PURPOSE OF LIFE IS: SERVE GOD BY SERVING OTHERS.

5.  GOD MADE ME FOR A MISSION.
Jesus: “In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world, I give them a mission in the world.”  John 17:18 (Mes)

“Where there is no vision, the people perish.”  Pr. 29:18 (KJV)

“Those who embrace My ways are most blessed.”  Pr. 8:32 (Mes)

      Ps.  34:8 (Mes)

Jesus: “Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to Me for real rest…and you’ll recover your life…and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”  Matt.  11:28-30 (Mes)

“It makes no difference who you are or where you're from—if you want God and are ready to do as He says, the door is open.”  Acts 10:35 (Mes)

A PRAYER OF PURPOSE
Dear God, thank You for creating me and loving me.  I want to fulfill the purposes that You created me for.  So starting today, I really want to get to know and love and trust You.  I want my life to bring You pleasure and I want to become a part of Your family.  Help me to grow more like Your Son Jesus, and to use my life to follow and serve you.  Thank You for sending Jesus to die for me.  In the weeks ahead, help me to understand Your vision and mission for the rest of my life.

Day 3 19/8/2015: What's on earth am I here for?

THE PATH TO PERSONAL PEACE

Rick Warren

3 SOURCES OF TENSION
  • When circumstances are uncontrollable.
  • When people are unchangeable.
  • When problems are unexplainable.
Jehovah Shalom = "I am the God of Peace"

"I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart! And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid."John 14:27 (LB)
THE PATH TO PERSONAL PEACE

1. ACCEPTANCE  OF WHAT CANNOT BE CHANGE
"I have learned to be satisfied with the things I have and with everything that happens. I know how to live when I am poor, and I know how to live when I have plenty. I have learned the secret of being happy at anytime in everything that happens … I can do all things through Christ, because He gives me strength."Phil 4: 11-13 (NCV)
learning through out tough time...
Is your demand for explanation not God. God doesn't owe you an explanation.
just like Job, no explanation has given.
THE SERENITY PRAYER
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

2. TRUST
 IN GOD LOVING CARE.

"Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand."Phil. 4:6-7 (LB)
3. SURRENDER
 TO GOD LOVING CONTROL
"If a person's thinking is controlled by his sinful self, then there is death. But if his thinking is controlled by the Spirit, then there is life and peace."Rom. 8:6 (ICB)
"Those who love your teaching will find true peace, and nothing will defeat them."Ps. 119:165 (NCV)

Preparing for What on Earth Am I Here For?

Rick Warren

"Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years... He did what was pleasing in the Lord's sight... Hezekiah trusted in the Lord... There was never another king like him in the land of Judah, either before or after his time. He remained faithful to the Lord in everything, and he carefully obeyed all the commands the Lord had given Moses. So the Lord was with him, and Hezekiah was successful in everything he did."2 Kings 18:2-7 (NLT)
"(Later) Hezekiah got sick. He was about to die. The prophet Isaiah said 'Prepare your affairs and your family. This is it: You're going to die. You're not going to get well.' Hezekiah turned away from Isaiah and, facing the wall, prayed to God: 'God, please, I beg You: Remember how I've lived my life. I've lived faithfully in Your presence, lived out of a heart that was totally Yours. You've seen how I've lived, the good that I have done.' ... Then God said, 'I've heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Here's what I'll do: I'll add fifteen years to your life.'"Isaiah 38:1-5 (Msg)

"A sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."Phil. 4:7 (Msg)

2.  GOD WANTS ME TO  CONNECT WITH BELIEVERS.
"Let us not give up the habit of meeting together... instead let us encourage one another."Heb. 10:25 (GN)
"Those who believed... were baptized and added to the church... They joined with the other believers and committed themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship... They worshiped together regularly at the Temple... and met in small groups in homes ..."Acts 2:41-42, 46 (NLT/LB)

Let
the ruins come to life

In the beauty of Your Name

Rising up from the ashes

God forever You reign

Although there are problems, difficulties in our life, but you will bring us through and may all the glory to you LORD.

“It is the Lord who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding.” (Proverbs 2:6 TEV)

You say, “I want to trust God, but I don't hear him.”

You don't hear God when your mind is filled with a thousand other
distractions. To hear God, you’ve got to get near God. You've got to get
alone with God and be quiet.

The Bible says, “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm
46:10 NIV). That means sit down and shut up. That's how you hear God and
get near to God. You have to sit alone and just be quiet with your
Bible and say, “God, is there anything you want to say to me?” You read
God’s Word, and you talk to him about what's on your heart.

And, God says he will give you the wisdom you need to recognize his voice and follow through on what he says: “It is the Lord who gives wisdom; from him come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6 TEV).

Pray this today: “God, I want to listen to you, not the voices of
doubt. I want to get close to you and get to know you better. I want to
hear you, and I promise to then obey you. I want to be one of the people
that you can use and bless in the next 10 years. I want those years to
be a decade of destiny for me and my family.”

That's my prayer LORD. I want to be the one who you can use and bless in the next 10years. I want those years to be a decade of destiny for me, my family and those people around me. Praise Lord !!!

“Start with God — the first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning.” (Proverbs 1:7 MSG)

Have you noticed that the moment you establish a goal in your life, you start hearing people say, “Who do you think you are?” or “It can't be done” or “Forget about it”?
The antidote to the voices of doubt is to instead listen to the voice of God. Just imagine all the critics that were in Noah's life. “That guy Noah thinks God speaks to him, but he's just messing up all of our property values by building that ark in his front yard.”
The Bible tells us that Noah listened to God. And what did he hear? He heard God's warning that the world was going to be destroyed. He believed what he had not yet seen. That's what faith is — being certain of something we don't see.
So Noah didn’t turn back on the vision God had given him. Instead, he built the ark.
God is going to give you a goal for your life, and some people may think it’s pretty crazy. But you’ve got to stay focused on what you know God has said through his Word, the Bible. Then, you’ve got to go build your ark!
  • What are ways you’ve allowed fear or criticism to keep you from reaching your goals?
I think the ways I have allowed for fear or criticism which keep me from reaching my goals will be I'm willing to get the favor of the people as well.
I shouldn't win the favor of the others beside God.
  • What dream would you pursue if you were not afraid of criticism?
I think I will keep trusting God will bless me a good man with a good marriage which I could use this as an great example to motivate the rest of the people or couples around me to win the favor of God.
  • How can you practice listening for God voice?
By spending a quiet time with God in praying and reading the word of God everyday before I start on my day.  I hope I could do it continuously until I met you, Jesus in heaven. :)
Everyday... start with saying GOOD MORNING HOLY SPIRIT.

Take God Out of the "Emergency Only" Box!

I used to spend time with God once in awhile or when my life was in big trouble. Eventually I learned that if I ever wanted to stop living from one emergency to the next, I needed to seek God every day as if I were in desperate need of Him.

It's true that God will always help us when we come to Him. But if we want constant victory, we need to take God out of our "emergency only" box and invite Him into our everyday lives.

God wants us to get personal with Him. He proves this by the fact that He lives within us.

When Jesus died on the cross, He opened the way for us to get personal with almighty God. If God had wanted an "emergency only" relationship, He might just visit on occasion, but He certainly would not have come to take up permanent residence within us.

What an awesome thought! God is your personal friend! Will you remove Him from the "emergency only" box today?

Prayer Starter: Lord, I know that the Christian life is so much more than an "emergency only" back-up plan. Because You live within me, I want to know You as a personal friend. Rather than just calling on You when I'm in trouble, I want to seek You every single day.

Lord, I know you are with me. Today, although I'm weary, I'm totally exhausted as I'm just able to sleep for two hours. But praise Lord, I know you are my strength always. I will serve you will whole hearty.
